we will take an old milk carton that has been cleaned and turn it into a house! We must cut away the top part leaving a nice square to work with
Then, we will paint the milk carton so that it no longer looks like one.
next, we will add windows and doors! one option would be to paint them on. But, we will cut and paste colored paper instead
We will then add a roof to the top. The pictures below shows how to do this. We will then complete our scene with grass and a road
To make the roof, we will need to place the house in the center of a black square, and draw lines around it. then when we take the house away, we will have white lines drawn so that we know where the roof meets the top of the milk carton.
Now, all we have to do is cut notches out of the 4 corners...{see the picture on the right} and we have a way to fold the flaps down so they can be fixed to cover the house
first we will need one class to cut off the top of the carton and paint it brown....so it takes on the look of a house
next, we will start to add features to our house such as doors and windows
