Islam is not only a religion, but a whole way of life. Nearly every work of art a traditional {follower of islam} artist creates is an example of islamic beliefs
Almost all islamic art is made up of complex abstract patterns that create a sense of unending repetition - a reminder that their supreme being - {allah} is infinite
there are three main types of islamic patterns.
1. - For muslims, geometry reflects the language of the universe, and all geometric patterns are developed within a circle, the symbol of unity.
2. - plantlike patterns reflect appreciation of Allah's creations.
3. - the message of islam was spread through arabic writing, so calligraphy might be the most important Islamic pattern of all!
here is an example of writing using calligraphy
lets examine the use of islamic pattern on some structures
our goal for this project will be to generate a "city scene" ....a few buildings standing next to each other that will be find the walls of the structures filled in in the style of islamic patterns or stated another way
we will generate a city scene where the structures will be filled in via islamic patterns
