we will create a tree that will actually stand up! when something stands up we say that it is "3d" (3-dimensional)
But lets not confuse this with "stands out" We use contrast to make this work. Either we use light against dark colors ...as you will see in the picture of the tree below...or we need to use opposite colors. Opposite colors are found on the other side of the color wheel from each other.
THINK OF THE COMPLEMENTARY COLOR WHEEL LIKE A CLOCK
IN OTHER WORDS, ON A CLOCK, 1:00 IS OPPOSITE OF 7:00
3:00 IS OPPOSITE OF 6:00 AND SO ON
LOOK AT YELLOW ......CAN YOU SEE THAT IT IS OPPOSITE OF PURPLE?
NOW LOOK AT BLUE. CAN YOU SEE THAT IT IS OPPOSITE OF ORANGE?
COMPLEMENTARY COLORS HELP EACH OTHER STAND OUT!
we will show contrast by creating a 3-D Tree that has green & red contrasting along with light and dark colors
first we must carefully fold all 3 trees, and then we glue them back to back to back!
