here are some middle school examples of how students are offered a message of hope, calmness, etc. to others today in response to the coronavirus that is keeping us apart today
Look at the following examples........pretend you are an artist! what will your message be to the world about the coming days?
the artist above lost points under "follows directions"
why? yes ... this is covid related.......but where is the message of hope in defeating the virus? the girls are just wearing masks
in the artwork below, the artist lost points in "goal" one cannot see the covid, unless you enlarge the photo It is the small, green item in the middle
Make the "subjects" of your artwork ... large!! this is about covid!!
the subject is obvious in the work below people are banding together to push the covid away from the earth!
here is another example of someone who did not follow directions.....look at the art work below......how is it they did not follow directions?? see below the picture for the answer
the artist here is just recalling when we could not get hair cuts......a part of the year 2020, but nothing to do with "hope"
here are two great examples of what to do!
the artwork above has a "star wars" theme....the covid 19 is like the death star.....being blown up!!
The work below shows the covid running away on the bottom right.......when the earth gets a vaccine for its people. And a hospital worker is squashing a covid-19!!
here are some examples of what you will find by googling
i like this first one! a clever use of a bow and arrow, the arrow being a vaccine.....being shot at the covid!
doctors and nurses work hard every day to save people's lives from covid and other deadly diseases. I like the way nurses are remembered here........like superheros.....saving the day!
your assignment "war against the pandemic"
Think about the world we live in today people are depressed ...... what message of hope can you offer?
you now know that you can draw just about anything, due to what you learned in the lesson "how to draw just about anything"
spend the first day or so ......thinking about your idea sketch out your idea.......on a sloppy copy
the rubric says "to get 2 points", you need a total of 6 different items........4 different items will get you 1 point
